LesleyZ Consulting was born out of Lesley’s passion for, and experience in, three areas: Strategic Planning, Board Leadership, and Employment Recruitment.

As a recruiter, and later a Vice President, for nine years at Hastings & Hastings in Miami, Lesley excelled at identifying corporate and individuals’ needs and goals to assure the right match for each type of client.

Lesley changed her focus to education and was introduced to strategic planning at Donna Klein Jewish Academy in Boca Raton. She realized it could make the difference between success and stagnation for organizations. Lesley’s personnel and management experience gave her valuable insights into structuring and facilitating the work and she quickly went from learning to managing planning for the school. She soon began to consult for other nonprofits.

Simultaneously, Lesley’s fifteen-year career in board leadership had given her the experience to understand and improve board dynamics and effectiveness, and forge relationships between boards and professionals to create boards of excellence. A school President for six years, Lesley was also a director on the national board RAVSAK which supported private schools. She had the opportunity to mentor board presidents across the country, speak at conferences and conduct online forums about board best practices.

Right now, the disadvantages from students’ dependence on technology are not adequately addressed. Across various schools, Lesley observed that students with excessive screen time display less confidence and composure with in-person interactions. In response, LesleyZ Consulting offers schools a plan of action to reinvigorate confidence levels for student interviews, personal relationships, and their post-graduate lives.
